Move More! Move Often!
Spring 2017 Registration/Application: January 4th – January 20th
Did you know that increased exercise and movement improves mood, creates better sleep, and reduces stress and risk for chronic disease? Are you ready to increase your physical wellbeing? Are you looking for a supportive community to keep you accountable? Move More! Move Often! is the perfect opportunity!
Move More! Move Often! is an 8-week program based on a step challenge to encourage individuals to increase their daily physical activity. Using Fitbit activity trackers, participants can monitor daily steps and physical activity. Throughout the 8-week challenge, participants can access performance incentives, receive supplemental resources and materials, and discounts to help individuals reach their physical activity goals.
New and Enhanced – Now there are two options
Beginning Spring 2017, the program will offer two options for participation.
Option 1: The traditional walking groups – walking only.
Option 2: A progressive walk-to-run program designed to help beginners make the transition from walking to running.
Whether you choose the walking program or the walk-to-run program, Move More! Move Often! can help you achieve your physical activity goals and improve your physical wellbeing. Participants will even have the opportunity to celebrate their progress by participating in the Fit for Business 5k near the end of the program!
Be your best you!
At the conclusion of the 8 weeks, prizes will be awarded on an individual basis for significant improvement in the number of average daily steps.
